It's Weekend-Beer Time!

Another weekend, another great line up of ales.

We kick off with the Marble Best, a lovely hoppy pint which went down a treat last night when it went on. The Privateer Dark Revenge is a lovely light stout, well worth trying. Then we have the Cross Bay Dusk. From Nottinghamshire we are introducing, from Medieval Beers, their Knight Hood. For those who prefer a lighter session ale we have, from Warton's cracking Old School Brewery, Hopscotch.

Great to see Gareth and Roly in for a pint last night following their terrifying experience on Wednesday in the train derailment at Salford. Have a great weekend chaps.

Meanwhile, for all you poor  souls who have to work before you can pop in for a pint enjoy Billy Joel's Weekend Song:

Weetwood Cheshire Cat is all gone. Joining us on the bar tonight will be Marble Best (4.3%). Plenty of Privateer Dark Revenge left, Cross Bay Dusk and a little Gun Dog Booze Hound.

Next up Medieval Brewery Knight Hood.

A Midweek Treat-Privateer

Time for a nice midweek treat from a new Manchester brewery, Privateer Beers. Tonight we will have their Dark Revenge on the bar at 4.5% ABV. It is a dark ale brewed with American hops. There is also a little Weetwood Cheshire Cat left, Cross Bay Dusk and some Gun Dog Booze Hound.

Next up will be the Marble Best then from the Medieval Brewery in Nottinghamshire their Knight Hood.

Saturday Night Ale

Open at 5-00pm tonight with the ever popular Bowness Bay Swan Blonde, but it's going fast. We also have a blonde from Weetwood in the form of their Cheshire Cat. From Northamptonshire we have the Gun Dog Ales' Booze Hound and from nearer home the wonderful Kirkby Lonsdale Jubilee Stout, but not a lot of that left.

On the stillage we have the Marble Best. From the new Privateer Brewery in Manchester the Dark Revenge and from Nottinghamshire we have Medieval Brewery's Knight Hood.

In the meantime:

Lancashire Life and Beer

We are in the February edition of Lancashire Life, a cracking two page spread, they've done us proud. The February edition is on sale now, but if you prefer you could pop into The Snug for a pint and read the article in there.

If you pop in today you can try Gun Dog Ales' Booze Hound, TSA Blonde, Barngates' Pride of Westmorland and Kirkby Lonsdale's wonderful Jubilee Stout. Most are getting low so hurry while there's still some left because it's all change when they're gone.

The Snug-Wednesday 2 January

Unfortunately we will not be open this evening due to continued illness. We hope to resume normal service tomorrow but will update via here, Facebook and Twitter.

We have had this bug since Christmas, as have many customers, and really must try and get rid, not least so we don't keep passing it on. Bring on a cold spell to kill off these germs!

In the meantime Happy New Year and we hope to see some of you tomorrow.
