A Magical Christmas Eve

We had a wonderful Christmas Eve in The Snug with Santa making a surprise appearance. Being off to the store for cider when Santa arrived I missed all the fun!

But Santa wasn't just there to give all our customers their Snug Christmas pressies, he also had a very special Christmas duty to discharge. He called forward a lovely couple, Andrew and Carol, and presented Andrew with a small box. The next thing Andrew is down on one knee, proposing to Carol and taking an engagement ring from the box. Thankfully, to loud applause, Carol said yes.

What a moment that must have been. Trust me to be off getting cider!

What a wonderful thing to take place on Christmas Eve, we thank them both but Andrew especially for honouring us with such a romantic gesture in The Snug. We wish them, and all our customers a wonderful Christmas and many years of happiness.

A Bit Rum Today The Weather!

Well we had to stay shut at lunchtime today thanks to the weather. The old Victorian lamp above the front door became a victim of the storm and had to be made safe and removed this afternoon. But tonight it's business as usual.

We go into the gentle slide towards weekend with the following beers:

Great Orme Welsh Black (4%)
Kirkby Lonsdale Singletrack (4%)
Bowness Bay Swan Black IPA (4.6%)
Borough Brewery Pale (3.7%)
Eden Dark Night (3.8%)

Meanwhile, after today:

The Snug Outing

Here are some pictorial memories of yesterday's jolly to Manchester. Apologies if anybody was left behind but I'm pretty sure we left with 62 and returned with 62.
