As regulars may have noticed, the scaffolding has now gone from the track side of the building and around the door. It seems that all leaks and other remedial work to the walls and roof have been successfully completed (touch wood). The walls, especially in the toilets, are drying out nicely and we will soon be in a position to decorate the loos. Maintenance is a constant problem for our landlord, the Station Heritage Trust which is a registered charity, so we hope to raise a fair few bob for the trust from the admission money to our beer festival on 22 and 23 November. We go into this weekend with Bowness Bay Swan Verdi (4%), Goff's Jouster (4%), Titanic Iceberg (4.1%), Foxfield Elusive Brown Ale (4.4%) and a little Funfair Showman's Bitter (3.9%) but not a lot.
Next up will be Fuzzy Duck Tangerine Duck (4.4%), Marble Manchester Bitter (4.2%) and Ironbridge Stout (5.1%).
The first date for The Snug Ukelele Group (SnUG) is Monday 13 January 2014. There will be a beginners workshop from 6-00pm til 7-00pm then the jamming begins! The Snug will not be open to the public, admission will be strictly by ukulele!
